Post Indicator Valves (PIV)
Post Indicator Valves (VG-100-PIV) are designed to operate non-rising stem gate valves from outside of a protected area. They provide visible status (open/shut) above ground, ensuring emergency access and quick valve positioning, especially useful for fire protection systems.
Key Features
The ECON-TROL Post Indicator Valves (VG-100-PIV series) operate inside screw gate valves and are intended for use in underground water supply control for sprinkler, fire water line, and deluge systems. These allow above-ground visual confirmation of the valve status and adjustment flexibility.
The VG-100-PIV features:
- Telescoping stem for length customization
- “OPEN/SHUT” visor plates without removing cover
- Locking positions
- Visual indicator for emergency situations
